Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh): A cab driver was arrested by the police near Madanapalli in Chittoor district on Tuesday. He is illegally transporting imported guns. Speaking to reporters, Madanapalli Sub Divisional Police Officer Ravi Manoharachari said, Tariganda Farooq of Chittoor district is a cab driver in Mumbai. He was carrying two imported pistols and 29 rounds of granules to Bangalore via Madanapalli.

However, the cab driver was involved in the investigation of vehicles carried by the Madanapalli police led by CI Srinivas. Police seized the vehicle used by the accused for illegally imported guns and illegally transported them. Madanapalli police said the accused had accepted his role in ganja smuggling and other illegal activities.

Such a fraud case has come to light in Vijayawada. Bangalore's female farmer Lakshmi Narasimhan, who took up aquaculture in Nandiwada in Krishna district, alleged that the landlord had cheated her and stole a yield of about 5 crore.

Despite the case registered under the SC (POA) Act, the police did not take action against the accused and were also supporting him, she charged and chief minister Y S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to get justice for her.

Addressing reporters here on Monday, Mrs. Narasimhan said, "I have leased 147 acres from a qua rare aqua trader and paid the lease amount through bank and cash. However, in April this year, the landlord forced 200 tons of shrimp reserves to his processing unit. Nandiwada complained to the police but no case was registered. The case was registered against the accused only after she met the DGP, alleged Mrs. Narasimhan of pedana mandal, who migrated to Bangalore.

Krishna district police said when contacted by the police, two cases were registered in the name of caste stealing, fraud, threat and abuse against N. Ramakrishna, N Balaji and others. They said the cases were under investigation.
