Mumbai: Former Maharashtra CM and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) veteran Devendra Fadnavis said on Sunday that his party, ie Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), believes in 'Akhand Bharat' and Karachi will one day be a part of India. In fact, Fadnavis was answering a question in which the Shiv Sena leader allegedly asked the owner of the Karachi Sweets shop in Bandra West to remove the word Karachi.
Fadnavis said in his statement that, "We believe in united India. We also believe that one day Karachi will also be a part of India. ” It is noteworthy that a video of Shiv Sena leader Nitin Madhukar Nandgaonkar is going viral, asking the owner of the Karachi Sweets shop to change the name of the shop. According to media reports, the Shiv Sena leader in the video says, "You have to do this, we are giving you time."
On Nitin Nandgaonkar's statement, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut said that this demand is baseless. He clarified that changing the name of the shop is not the official stand of the party. He tweeted that "Karachi Bakery and Karachi Sweets have been in Mumbai for the last 60 years. He has nothing to do with Pakistan. Now there is no justification for asking them to change their names. Shiv Sena does not have an official stand to change his name.
