Srinagar: Pakistan has once again violated the ceasefire in the Rajouri sector of Jammu and Kashmir. A soldier of the Indian Army has died in Pakistani firing. On the Line of Control (LoC) from Pakistan, there is firing from mortar and small arms in Manjakote and Tarkundi sector of Rajouri district.

The Indian Army is giving a befitting reply to this. Earlier, five militants were killed in an encounter with security forces in Shopian district of South Kashmir on Wednesday. Giving information, Inspector General of Police of Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that an encounter between security forces and militants started in Sugu village on Wednesday morning. Police said that the first Sugu village was cordoned off by the army and police joint team after receiving a special intelligence input about the presence of terrorists.

As the security forces concentrated there, the terrorists started firing on them. In this firing, five terrorists of the terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen and Lashkar-e-Taiba were killed. This is the third major encounter in Shopian district in less than a week. On Sunday, five militants were killed in an encounter in Reban village, while on Monday, four militants were killed in Pinjura village of Shopian.
