Sudden firing in Durga puja, girls worshipping suffered badly

In Ayodhya, gunfire broke out in the Korkhana area under Dev Kali Chowki in Kotwali City area of Durga Puja. One person was killed and two girls sustained serious bullet injuries in the firing. The injured girls have been referred to Lucknow from the district hospital. Police have nabbed one of the 4 shooters and also seized the vehicles of the criminals.

According to Ayodhya police, it is a case of mutual rivalry and all the criminals have been identified who will be arrested soon. It has been reported that the case took place at 10.15 pm when suddenly there was a firing in the middle of Durga Puja. Manjit, a youth, was killed in the firing while 14 and 11-year-old girls were seriously injured. The condition of the girls is said to be critical. A large crowd along with the police force is also gathered at the spot after the firing. It is not yet clear what led to the firing.

After the same investigation started, the police are definitely saying that this incident has nothing to do with Durga Puja. In their visualisation, it was a case of mutual rivalry in which some men opened fire on the other side. One has been arrested and efforts are on to nab the remaining culprits. However, four teams have been constituted by the police for investigation and a vehicle has also been seized from the incident.
