Thane: A major accident took place in Thane in Maharashtra last Saturday night. In fact, the incident took place at Ulhasnagar in Thane. The concrete slab fell from the fifth floor of a building here. One person was reportedly killed while two others were injured. Rescue teams rushed to the spot after the entire incident. The team reportedly rescued one person from the debris of the slab portion of Paras Bhawan while two injured persons have been admitted to the Central Hospital in Ulhasnagar.

The incident is said to have taken place at 10:30 pm last Saturday. According to the information received, the side portion of the slab of the five-storey building of Paras Bhawan in the Gandhinagar area of Ulhasnagar-5 fell on the room on the fourth floor. On the other hand, Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation Public Relations Officer Yuvraj Bhadane said, "As soon as the incident was reported, the fire team rushed to the spot and rescued other residents and sealed the building. The building has 15 flats and 4 shops.''

This is not the first incident. Recently, a fire broke out in a 60-storey building in Mumbai and a labourer was hanging to escape and died. Several similar cases have so far come to light from Maharashtra where accidents like fire or debris have taken place, and many people have died and many others have been injured.
