One more informal summit: Modi-Putin likely to be discussed on Global terrorism

New Delhi [India], May 17 (NT): Following a Russia visit which commenced on May 21 Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take part in an informal summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the city of Sochi .

The informal summit between the two cream of the crops likely to be discussed on Global terrorism , which also has a broad-based agenda on global and regional issues. The summit will also focus on the discussions on global terrorism, situation in Afghanistan-Pakistan, Syria, Islamic State (IS), as the sources reported.

Modi-Putin informal summit will hold one to one and a restricted delegation-level meeting  as to be expected.

The summit will also have the major issues on the Indo-Russian cooperation in Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) and association of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (BRICS) is expected to discuss as well.

Modi-Putin the two global renowned leaders may also talk about the India-Russia civil nuclear cooperation in third countries. During the summit most part of the five-hour engagement will have one to one talks with exchanging views on their domestic priorities.

According to the EMA statement, the Modi-Putin summit is taking place at the invitation of Putin.

"There are plans to discuss key issues developing Russian-Indian very privileged strategic partnership and also to exchange views on vital issues of the international and regional agenda," the Russian news agency TASS reported citing, the Kremlin press service, as saying in a statement.
