The incident had occurred at Khuntiaguda village in Tentulikhunti of the district on Friday. The accused involved in hot iron branding of a 55 day- old child in Nabarangpur district has been arrested on Saturday.
According to information, the Khuntiaguda Police arrested the accused identified as Keshari Sunamani Das.
It is noteworthy to mention here that, the child, a baby boy of just one month and 25 days was branded with hot iron at least 100 times.
After being treated with hot iron, the baby’s condition deteriorated so he was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital.
