Lucknow: After making a landslide comeback to power in Uttar Pradesh, CM Yogi Adityanath's government is now gearing up to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in the state. In this regard, the state's Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya told the media in Lucknow on Saturday (April 23, 2022), "It is necessary for the people of UP and the country to implement a law across the country. The earlier governments did not pay attention to this because of the politics of appeasement. '

Maurya further said that everyone should demand and welcome a Uniform Civil Code (UCC). He said the UP government is working in this direction. It is also one of the bjp's key promises. Let us know that even before the assembly elections in five states, the issue of UCC was very hot. This issue has always been in the bjp's core agenda. When Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami had announced the formation of a committee on UCC, the issue became even more talked about.

Now, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has talked about implementing the UCC in the state. Union Home Minister Amit Shah had on Friday (April 22, 2022) said, "After CAA, Article 370, Ram Temple and triple talaq, it is now the turn of the Uniform Civil Code." The UCC law will be implemented in bjp ruled states. Shah also said that a draft is being prepared to implement the UCC as a pilot project under the leadership of CM Pushkar Singh Dhami in Uttarakhand.
