Jaipur: Rajasthan has now joined those states of the country, which have successfully completed the process of 'One Nation-One Ration Card' reform. Rajasthan will now be able to take an additional loan of Rs 2,731 crore from the open market. Under the arrangement given by the Union Finance Ministry, now Rajasthan will be able to meet its financial requirements more than ever.

Till now 12 states have implemented 'One Nation - One Ration Card' system. Prior to Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Kerala, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh and Telangana have also implemented 'One Nation-One Ration Card' system. After achieving this achievement, these 12 states will be able to take an additional loan of Rs 33,440 crore from the open market. Due to the Corona epidemic and lockdown, the economic condition of all the states of the country had gone down.

The states had a shortage of money to meet their administrative expenses. In this way, the Modi government started this system on 17 May 2020. Under this, the states completing the One Nation-One Ration Card System process will be allowed to take an additional loan from the open market. States will be allowed to take loans up to 2% of their GST. Out of this, if you succeed in doing 1% citizen-centric reforms, you will be allowed to take a loan.
