Srinagar: Militants attack a police inspector in Naugam in The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The policeman was killed in the attack. After the attack, a search operation was launched in the entire area but no trace of the terrorists has been ascertained so far. According to reports, Inspector Parvez Ahmed Dar, who was posted in the CID wing, was returning after offering prayers outside Kanipora Masjid in Naugam.

Meanwhile, the militants who were ambushed on the way fired. The terrorists fled the spot after the attack. He was rushed to the ho for thr treatment but he died during treatment. A team of security forces reached the spot after the attack. The entire area was cordoned off by the team. A search operation was launched but no trace of the terrorists has been detected. It was reported that the terrorists had come on a vehicle. They have fled the spot after firing.

Vehicles coming and going at every Naka are being checked but there is no trace of the terrorists. The inspector was recruited as sub inspector in the department in the year 2000. He then became an inspector after getting a promotion. These days he was posted in CIK, which is a wing working against terrorists. Police officials said that the terrorists are being traced.
