Pulwama: Security forces have piled 1 terrorist in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir. An encounter between the security forces and the terrorists started at around 2 pm on Wednesday and Thursday at Miz Pampore village in Madi area of Avantipora, which continues till now. A cordon-and-search operation was launched by the Army's 50RR and CRPF late at the input of a joint police team.

A police officer said that 'Last night, the Avantipora police, along with the army and other security forces, conducted an operation at Village Midge Pampore. The target house was adjacent to a large mosque, in the initial firing, the terrorists opened fire and hurled grenades while being surrounded by security forces, it seemed that the terrorists have hidden in the mosque because it was dark of night it was hard to say anything.' He further said that the encounter started again in the morning as the terrorists hid next to the mosque. A terrorist has been killed so far.

Meanwhile, a militant named Imran Nabi of terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen was arrested from Anantnag in a joint operation of Jammu Kashmir Police, Army, 1st RR and CRPF late on Wednesday. A pistol and other offensive material along with 6 live cartridges have been found from the terrorist's possession.
