Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has announced the rollout of Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the OnePlus 2.

According to sources, OnePlus team is about to start the incremental rollout of OxygenOS 3.0.2 on OnePlus 2, the upgrade to Android Marshmallow 6.0.1.

OnePlus 2 owners will experience a host of new features with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

The software update brings the doze and app standby mode, which conserves battery life and offering users with more usage in-between charges.

The OnePlus 2 has a fingerprint sensor on the home button, which is located at the bottom of the device.

Many people have started preferring fingerprint scanning as an authentication method than traditional passwords or passcodes.

The latest update also brings a fresh OnePlus Camera user interface as well as AF optimization.

OnePlus 2 users will be notified by an OTA update notification within the next 48 hours. Users can also manually check for the update from Settings -> About Phone -> System Updates.
