NEW DELHI: Reports of poor economic health and job shortages have become common from the past few years. In this period, a company has announced to invest in India. Premium smartphone giant OnePlus has announced that they are going to invest in India. For the first time, the company is going to launch the Research and Development Facility in Hyderabad. The company will invest Rs 1,000 crore over the next three years. The company plans to develop Hyderabad as the largest R&D centre in three years.

The R&D in Hyderabad was launched on Monday by OnePlus under 'Make in India'. According to the company's plan, the project will give employment to approximately 1,500 people in the coming three years.  CEO of OnePlus said that currently, 200 employees are working under the project. According to information provided by OnePlus media, the company's R&D centre will set up three labs, including camera labs, communication labs and networking and automation labs.

These labs will focus on camera development, 5G testing, AI and software that improves performance. Vikas Agarwal, general manager of OnePlus India, said that a large number of OnePlus smartphones are currently being sold on Amazon's online market and the company is now gearing up to open its offline stores in major cities of the country. "We are planning to open offline stores in 50 cities by the end of next year.
