Lucknow: Voting is going to be held in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, tomorrow i.e. on February 23. Therefore, Wednesday will be a public holiday. OPD services of hospitals will remain closed. Patients will get treatment in emergency. An alert has been issued in hospitals regarding this. The team of doctors and staff will provide treatment to the patients. OPD services of all hospitals including KGMU, PGI, Lohia Institute, Balrampur, Rani Laxmibai, Dufferin, Jhalkaribai, Civil and Lokbandhu will remain closed.

Whereas, emergency services will be run at full capacity. According to KGMU spokesperson Dr. Sudhir Singh, OPD services will remain closed. Emergency services will be fully operational. Emergency operation theater will be operated. Dr. Rajan Bhatnagar, CMS of Lohia Institute said that the Kovid Control Room will also be operational. Apart from this, OPD service will run at half capacity. At the same time, emergency services will continue to run fully. In addition, the number of beds has also been increased.

At the same time, Balrampur's CMS Dr. GP Gupta said that OPD services and dialysis unit services will remain closed in view of the polling to be held on Wednesday. But the emergency will run with full capacity. Doctor on call will be on duty. According to Dr. Ajay Shankar Tripathi, Medical Superintendent of Lokbandhu Hospital, OPD service will remain closed, but emergency will continue as before.
