New Delhi: According to reports, the expansion of the Oppo Reno 8 series will happen in the coming weeks. While the Chinese company has switched to the Reno 9 series and launched three variants, a new Reno 8 model - called the "Oppo Reno 8T" - recently appeared online.

The model number of the phone, CPH2481, has been listed on several certification websites including TKDN, EEC, BIS, SIRIM, and Element Materials Technology.

While the listings don't provide much details about the specifications of the phone, none of them offer the name or charging rate of the speculated Oppo Reno 8T.

GizmoChina reports that Oppo may be developing a new Reno 8 model, which they are calling the Oppo Reno 8T. The smartphone listed on multiple certification websites may go on sale soon.

The listing on SIRIM hints at the branding of the phone, and the listing on Element Materials Technology suggests that the device may support 33W fast-wired charging.

Even the BIS has cleared the Reno 8T for sale in India. Due to its slow charging support as compared to the Reno 8's standard support for 80W charging, it is speculated that the smartphone will be less expensive.

Oppo launched its Reno 9 series of smartphones, which includes the Reno 9 Pro+, Reno 9 Pro, and Reno 9, in China last week. The flagship Oppo Reno 9 series model features a 6.7-inch full-HD+ OLED curved display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.

The smartphones with 5G capabilities come with 32-megapixel selfie cameras. The MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max SoC is the standard Oppo Reno 9, with the Snapdragon 778G SoC powering the Reno 9 Pro, and the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC powering the Reno 9 Pro+.

The Oppo Reno 9 Pro+ is currently available at CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs. 45,700) for the base 16GB RAM + 256GB storage model and CNY 4,399 (roughly Rs. 45,700) for the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage model. There are three color options: Beihai King, Bright Moon Black, and Tomorrow Gold.

The base 16GB RAM + 256GB storage model of the Oppo Reno 9 Pro is priced at CNY 3,499 (roughly Rs. 40,000), while the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage model is priced at CNY 3,799 (roughly Rs. 43,600). It has three color options: Bright Moon Black, Thoda Drunken and Tomorrow Gold.
