Mumbai: Chinese company OPPO has terminated its contract with BCCI. Oppo has now been replaced by the Indian brand, which will be officially announced soon. The agreement between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Chinese company OPPO has already expired. OPPO has shared the rights of Team India's title sponsor to the Indian company to avoid losses. From September onwards, Team India will not be seen in the OPPO jersey.

Oppo will now be replaced by the Indian team's jersey with the Bengaluru-based education technology company Byju's. In fact, for one match, The Chinese company Oppo had to pay a hefty sum to the BCCI, which led to a loss-making deal. That's why OPPO pulled his hands from being team India's sponsor. Before OPPO, Team India's title sponsor was Star India, which gave BCCI Rs 1.92 crore for a bilateral series match, while Rs 61 lakh for a match of the ICC event. Since the rights are now with Byju's, the BCCI will have to pay an equal amount to OPPO for each match of the bilateral series and the ICC tournament.
