Opposition protest against the forced removal of burqas worn by women during CM Raghubar Das's event

Ranchi: The opposition parties protested on Monday against the forced removal of burqas and black dupattas worn by women during an event attended by Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das in Giridih district.

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) MLA, Jhobha Manjhi spoke on the incident that took place on Sunday, when the House met for the day at 11 am.

Jharkhand Vikas Morcha-Prajatantrik (JVM-P) MLA Pradeep Yadav  also supported the protest and said that The Chief Minister have  to answer on this issue as it is serious.

Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Biranchi Narayan  reacted to it and asked: "Until the burqa is not removed, how can it be ascertained whether it is a woman or a terrorist?"

 Congress MLA, Geeta Kodfa later told to media that government schemes is to oly garner the suopper of the Women. She said, On one hand, the state government is launching many schemes related to the well being of women, and on the other hand, it also humiliates them. This means the scheme is only to garner women's support."
