Oprah Winfrey discussed her problems in the latest episode of Deepak Chopra's new Audible podcast 'Mind Body Zone: Living Outside The Box,' citing her prior weaknesses as a result of the occurrences she encountered.

She also talked about how she's used a mind-body link to transcend the ordinary and redefine her existence. She said that while speaking with a guest on her TV show about a sexual assault incident, Oprah couldn't summon the confidence to speak about herself. She could be vulnerable and open herself to the people only years later.

She said on the show, "A woman had gone on to relate her experience of sexual assault and molestation, and she was mirroring my narrative." Oprah revealed that she acquired a better knowledge of being true to herself and seeing that her reality is shared by many others who have faced similar challenges.

"We're all looking for the same things in the end; we desire the same happiness, and we've all experienced many of the same sufferings, albeit under a different name or from a different person. And that we have more things in common than we don't "she said.

"And that worldview for me was that I wasn't good enough, that I didn't deserve to be loved. I was treated as if I didn't matter, "Oprah said. Following a horrific life experience of being sexually attacked by a family member, Oprah spoke on how the people you choose have an impact on your life.

Despite her biological family's perceptions of her inadequacy, she learnt through time that when individuals know better, they do better. She was able to better herself and assist herself without the help of her family, but with individuals, she created her own outside of her family.

"One of the things that I absolutely know for sure, is that there is the family that you are born into and then there is the family that you create for yourself." Talking about how the isolation challenged everyone during the last year due to the pandemic, Oprah revealed how truly at peace she was with her freedom during the time.

"It's going to be an interesting transition for me back in the real world, with the demands and expectations from the past, because I feel very disconnected." She explained that it was a time of solace and being with herself, with no expectations to fulfil, sans guilt. The pandemic brought a complete change in how she perceived herself and what mattered to her the most.

In her own words, "So I am in that space now where I really revel in my being, rather than my doing." Her famous talk show 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' was the highest-rated television programme of its kind in history and ran in national syndication for 25 years, from 1986 to 2011.
