'Alien' actor Ian Holm passed away. He was 88 years old. After which the process of paying tribute to him on social media started. Actor Orlando Bloom has paid tribute to his 'Lord of the Rings' co-star Ian Holm. The actor died due to Parkin sun disease. According to media reports, Bloom, who plays Legolas in the fantasy franchise, took to Instagram to express condolences.

In a post with a picture of Holm on Instagram, Bloom wrote, "We lost a veteran today. He played one of the youngest characters in our film 'Lord of the Rings', but he always has one for me Giant were. "Eliza Wood also paid tribute to the late actor. Wrote the post, "Sad to hear that quaint, brilliant and lively, Sir Ian passed away. Bye, Uncle."
