Bhubaneswar: A shocking case has come to light from Odisha. Here in Balangir, a teacher held a meeting with his seven girl students. All the 7 girls fell unconscious while holding 100-100 sit-ins. She was then admitted to the hospital. The government has ordered an investigation into the matter. 

The case pertains to Sunamudi village under Balangir in Odisha. Here, seven girl students of Bapuji High School were punished by the teacher for holding a meeting. In fact, these girls arrived late for school. Because of this, the teacher gave this punishment to the girl students. The name of the teacher is said to be Vikas Dharua. The teacher asked the girl students to hold 100-100 sit-up meetings. However, all the girl students fainted while holding the meeting. All of them were then taken to the hospital by ambulance. The condition of one of them is still said to be serious. 
 
School and mass education minister Sameer Das has ordered an inquiry into the incident that took place in the Balangir district on Monday. He said that the guilty will be severely punished. Das informed the media that Patnagarh Community Education Officer Shankar Prasad Manjhi has been instructed to conduct an inquiry.
