Bhubaneswar: A 98-year-old woman has returned home from Hospital in Chandrashekharpur, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, after overcoming the virus. The second wave of corona virus infection in the country has revealed many pictures that have been a soul-chilling. The magnitude of the situation is being gauged by the people suffering from oxygen and bed shortages in hospitals. At such a time, the oldest patient from Odisha dares to fight the virus by defeating corona.

Annapurna, who has been suffering from diabetes for the past two decades, has also been suffering from filariasis and hypertension. Annapurna was found to be infected with covid on May 5, although despite so many diseases, she did not give up and left the hospital completely healthy on Wednesday within a week of treating corona. According to hospital sources, the biggest reason for Amma's rapid recovery was her confidence. Doctor said that her strong will and non-giving attitude have led her to victory in this battle.

Although her oxygen levels had fluctuated several times during the treatment, but did not panic and cooperated well with the treating doctors and nurses. A nurse said 98-year-old Annapurna is the oldest female patient in the state to fight the virus and beat it.
