A camphor tree in Osaka is considered to be 700 of years old, people of Osaka believe that this tree's history is full of love. During the establishment of 'Kayashima train station' just next to it in 1910, people say that while expansion of the station took place and officials decided to cut down the tree, many of them were cursed to death.

Rumors spread with the speed of light that, 'the man who tried to cut the branch of the tree caught high fever and died'.Later when people heard horrifying stories of the tree, they decided not to cut it and planned to construct the station around it.

They initiated the construction around it without harming any part of the tree in 1973 and finished it in 1980. It is the great example of harmony between human beings and nature.
