The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on Wednesday shortlisted for the Oscar Awards 2022, the name of the movie has been announced. Indian documentary feature 'Writing with Fire' has entered the next round in the list. On the other hand, Kuzngal, who made an official entry for India in the international feature movie category, has been dropped from the Oscar race. The journey of the 94th Academy Awards i.e. Oscar Awards for the Tamil movie "Koozhangal" ("Pebbles") directed by filmmaker Vinothraj PS has come to an end today. In the International Feature Movie category, 15 movies are still in the running for the top prize. Movies from 92 countries have been included in this category. 'Koojhangal' is a movie based on the relationship between an alcoholic father and his son. The film narrates the journey of a son accompanied by a father to bring back his wife who has gone home. According to media reports, this story is inspired by a real incident that happened in the family of the film's director Vinothraj.

Let us tell you that 'Writing with Fire' is india's only newspaper run by Dalit women, Khabar Laharia, about the story of the rise of Laharia. The documentary is directed by Rintu Thomas and Sushmat Ghosh. Both of them have made their directorial debuts through it.  Japanese films 'Drive My Car', Denmark's 'Fly', Iran's 'A Hero' and Italy's 'The Hand of God' are at the forefront of the feature film category. 'Great Freedom' (Austria), 'Playground' (Belgium), 'I'm Your Man' (Germany), 'Hive' (Kosovo), 'Prayers for the Stolen' (Mexico), 'The Worst Person in the World' (Norway), 'Plaza Cai' Thethedral (Panama), 'Luna: A Yak in the Classroom' (Bhutan), 'Compartment No. 6' (Finland), 'Lamb' (Iceland) and 'The Good Boss' (Spain) are also part of it.

Not only that, 15 movies have moved forward in the documentary feature category for the 94th edition of the Academy Awards. 138 movies were included in this category. 'Assessment', 'Attica', 'Billy Illish: The World's a Little Blury', 'Faya Dayi', 'The First Wave', 'Fly', 'In the Same Breath', 'Julia ','President', 'Procession', 'The Rescue', 'Simple Age Water', 'Summer of Soul' and 'The Velvet Underground' have appeared in the list of categories.
