Hooghly: A piece of big news has come from West Bengal. In fact, more than 100 people have fallen ill after eating Pani-Puri in the Hooghly district here. All of them have been admitted to the hospital. The incident reportedly took place in Dogachia village in the Polwa-Sugandha gram panchayat area of Hooghly. According to reports, a special team of the Health Department has reached the spot. It is being told that more than 100 people have become ill after complaining of diarrhoea and stomach due to eating Pani-Puri in Hooghly. All of them have been admitted to different hospitals.

On the other hand, Sanjay Bari, a resident of the village, said that the people who fell ill had eaten Pani-Puri from the shop of a Puchkawala named Hemant of the village. At the same time, more than 100 people started complaining of stomach aches and then vomiting one after the other. However, when their health deteriorated, the villagers were first admitted to the rural hospital in Polwa one after the other.

On the other hand, due to the high number of sick people, many people were admitted to Imambara Sadar Hospital in Chuchura and the rest of the patients to The Mahakuma Hospital in Chandannagar. According to Health Officer Abhay Kumar Das and local Second ANM Sutpa Maity on behalf of the District Health Department, a special team of the Health Department was rushed to the village and the above-mentioned health advice, necessary medicines, and ORS were distributed to the families of the victims.
