The government on Monday appraised the parliament about over two thousand faculty positions are lying vacant in the Indian Institutes of Technology, while over three thousands faculty positions are to be filled up in the National Institutes of Technology.
“There is no adverse effect on studies, as the same is adequately compensated by the research scholars, contract, adjunct visiting faculty”, government stated.
