France: According to the French Foreign Ministry, France has evacuated more than 300 citizens from Afghanistan. According to the ministry, about 258 Afghans, 11 French and over 60 Dutch were evacuated from Afghanistan with the help of Qatar.

The evacuation flight was organised with Qatar's help on Friday. "The foreign ministry's chartered aircraft evacuated 258 Afghans. Eleven French citizens, about 60 Dutch people, and their family were also evacuated by the flight," the ministry said in a statement, according to Sputnik.

On August 15, the Taliban took control of Kabul, forcing the US-backed government to resign. Later in September, the group announced the makeup of Afghanistan's new temporary government.

Following the Taliban takeover, the country is today beset by deepening economic, humanitarian, and security crises. The international world has been assisting the Afghan people in many ways, ranging from governments to non-governmental groups.
