New Delhi: The Central government has increased the quota but the supply of oxygen to the hospital is facing a tough time. Many hospitals in Delhi are currently facing oxygen shortage. There is also a commotion in Mata Chanan Devi Hospital. The family members of the patients came to know about the loss of oxygen in the hospital. There was an outcry and people sitting on the pavement started crying. More than 200 patients are undergoing treatment in this hospital. A similar picture is from many hospitals in Delhi. In Delhi, the corona crisis continues to escalate with CM Arvind Kejriwal scheduled to hold a meeting with the Lieutenant Governor again today.
About 25,000 new cases have been registered in Delhi once again in the last 24 hours, while 249 people have died, i.e., 10 patients have died every hour in the last 24 hours in Delhi. The most worrying thing in Delhi is the positive rate as according to the last 24-hour report, every third in 10 cases has been found to be infected with corona in Delhi. More than 78,000 tests have been conducted in Delhi on Wednesday, with more than 24,000 infected, or more than 31 per cent.
On the other hand, let me tell you that the Delhi High Court on Wednesday gave a major direction in view of the deteriorating situation in Delhi due to corona infection. The high court said oxygen should be delivered to hospitals in Delhi immediately. In fact, Max Hospital has moved the Delhi High Court over the supply of oxygen. The petition said that 2 hours of oxygen is left for Corona Marigo at Max Hospital Patparganj and Max Hospital Shalimar Bagh. On this, the High Court said that we are now facing the application for Max Hospital and tomorrow there will be other hospitals. It seems that the Government has not done anything about adequate supply of oxygen despite yesterday's order.
