Goa: Goa's largest medical facility 'Goa Medical College and Hospital ' in that 74 patients died in the last 4 days. All these deaths were reportedly due to lack of medical oxygen under the information received in the case. Let us also inform all of you that 13 patients have died due to stoppage of oxygen supply in goa hospitals last Thursday night alone. The negligence is said to have occurred when the high court warned the state government about the oxygen crisis.

In fact, it was reported by the state government that there is no shortage of oxygen, but there is a shortage of logistics for refilling. After learning this, the court made strong comments saying that 'we cannot leave people to die due to technical and logistic issues, fix whatever the problem is and make sure that there is no death due to lack of oxygen tonight.' Even after all this, the death of 13 patients the same night is raising many questions.

The court has now asked hospitals and the state administration to file a status report by 7 pm today. It is said to provide information on oxygen supply, availability of tanks, concentraters and drivers. Let us also tell you that the positivity rate in Goa is currently 48.1 per cent, i.e. every second test here is getting covid positive. Recently, former Goa Chief Minister Vijay Sardesai said, "13 people died between 1 pm and 6 am on Friday, 15 on Thursday morning, 20 on Wednesday and 2 pm to 6 am on Tuesday". On the other hand, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had also visited the hospital this week. During that time, he said that 'the gap between availability and supply of medical oxygen may have caused some problems'.
