According to sources, the investigating agency will seek Chidambaram's custody from the court. CBI officials also questioned Chidambaram this afternoon. That's where Congress is aggressive on this development. She is protesting at Jantar Mantar. Sources said the ED may also seek Chidambaram's remand.

For your information, the Central Investigating Agencies may seek Chidambaram's custody on three grounds. The first premise is that Chidambaram is not cooperating with the investigation. The second premise may be that the case just needs to be investigated fairly. The third premise is that there is a very low time for interrogation in the case and hence Chidambaram's remand is needed.
