New Delhi: Former Finance Minister and senior Congress leader P. Chidambaram will appear in the INX Media case today i.e. on Monday in a Delhi court. In this hearing, it will be decided whether the former Finance Minister will remain in ED custody or not. The court has issued a production warrant against P. Chidambaram in this case. According to the information received, P. Chidambaram will be produced in the Rouse Avenue court at 3 pm on Monday.

During the hearing, on the plea of the Enforcement Directorate, the court will decide whether to send the accused Chidambaram to the ED custody or not. It is known that former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram was arrested on August 21 in the INX Media case. He was produced before the court on 3 October, from where the court extended the custody of P. Chidambaram to 17 October during the hearing.

A special court in Delhi has ordered to appear before the ED on Monday, 14 October. Regarding this, the court has issued a production against P Chidambaram on the ED's plea. Significantly, the Enforcement Directorate had filed a petition in the court stating that it needed a production warrant as P Chidambaram, who was charged in the INX Media case, needed to be detained and questioned. P. Chidambaram is currently lodged in Tihar Jail.
