Rahul wants the freedom to meet Jawans and Kashmiris: P. Chidambaram

New Delhi: Former Home Minister P. Singh has said that he is not in a position to do so. Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satyapal Malik has been taken over by Chidambaram. Chidambaram recently said that the invitation to Rahul Gandhi was not normal and that it was propaganda in a way. It is wrong to say that Rahul Gandhi's terms are nonsense. Rahul has sought freedom to meet Kashmiris with army personnel. What a situation it is like. Can no one demand freedom to meet all sections of society and youths?

In a tweet on Tuesday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that Governor Satyapal Malik should be allowed to visit the valley and talk to the people. In response, the Governor said that Rahul Gandhi was politicizing the matter.

The Governor of Jammu and Kashmir has said that Rahul Gandhi may be reacting to the situation in Jammu and Kashmir by looking at some fake news. According to the Governor, barring minor incidents, the situation in the state is peaceful except that Rahul Gandhi had earlier told Governor Satyapal Malik that he did not need a plane but wanted the freedom to go to the Kashmir Valley and meet the people there.
