In the last few years, Akshay Kumar's choice of films has made him stand out from the row of Bollywood and did great at the box office with lots of love from the audiences. In fact, his last film Toilet - Ek Prem Katha was text exempted by various states so it was expected that movie Pad Man, which again is an issue based film, will also get the tax free. But turns out that's not gonna happen and it's revealed by none other than film's co-producer Twinkle Khanna, who is also film's lead Akshay Kumar's wife.

Comedienne Aditi Mittal shared a post from his Twitter handle to express irony of sorts stating,

"If they make Padman tax free it’ll be bloody ironic because they still tax pads way too much."

Her concern was valid but Twinkle Khanna shot it down when she explained Pad Man can't get the tax free exemption. She explained, Twinkle Khanna tweeted:

The film, directed by R Balki, also features Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte in leading roles and is set to be released on January 25. PadMan is all set to clash at the box office with Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor starrer Padmaavat.
