New Delhi [India], Jan 5 (NT): Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena on Friday lauded that they will carry on their protest against 'Padmavati' movie and asked for the resignation of Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) chief Prasoon Joshi, Information and Broadcasting Minister Smriti Irani, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore.

"Protest against Padmavati will continue across India and during the demonstration, we will burn the effigies of Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) chief Prasson Joshi. We also demand his resignation," Karni Sena leader Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi addressed in a press meet.

Gogamedi further said, "Rathore should resign as he was born in the land from where Queen Padmavati belonged and urged him to stand with them in the ongoing protests against the movie."

With similar Demands that hunt the film to be banned across the nation, Gogamedi also put the question mark on the permission given to Sanjay Leela Bhansali to screen the film in the UK.

In this row, Gogamedi had threatened to smash up all the cinema halls to showcase Padmavati.

The CBFC in last month of 2017, suggested few modifications in the divisive movie 'Padmavati', which take account of changing of the film's title to 'Padmavat', after which it had provided a UA certificate. (NT)
