Tragic accident in Ajmer, contractor lost his life while working

While doing electrical maintenance work near Govindgarh Dam in Pisangan area of the district, due to sudden start of power supply, the personnel of the contractor working on the spot died on the spot. The contractor, who ran to save worker in agony, also suffered a severe current, after which he was sent to Ajmer in critical condition after primary treatment. The dead body of the deceased has been kept safe in the mortuary.

According to Thanadikari Preeti Ratnu, 33-year-old contractor Dilip Singh, resident of Rotwara village under Fagi tehsil of Jaipur district, shot chain on line from his carinds on the transformer connected by 11,000 kV high-tension line in Govindgarh border adjoining Govindgarh dam. The draft was carrying out the maintenance work, a carpenter was working on the transformer, while 25-year-old worker, village resident of Pali district was working near the shot chain stuck in the wire of Chenaram Sahu High Tension Line. Meanwhile, power supply was started from the powerhouse in Govindgarh, due to which the current ran in the shot chain and Chenaram came shouting.

After seeing Chenaram Sahu screaming, he ran to save the contractor Dilip Singh Chenaram standing nearby. Due to which, Chenaram lost his life on the spot by scorching in the accident. Contractor Dilip Singh also got badly burnt and got injured due to the explosive current coming out from other parts of his body including his right wrist. After the incident, the people and electricity workers who reached the spot sent both to the hospital, where doctor Rajendra Singh Lamrod told Chanaram dead. The contractor Dilip Singh was referred to Ajmer after first aid in a critical condition.

According to the information received, soon after getting the information of the case, subdivision officer Samdarsinh Bhati, Naib Tehsildar Ram Singh Gurjar, Junior Engineer Sudhir Pathak, Jagvir Singh Yadav, Sarpanch representative Lalchand Prajapat, Panchayat Samiti member Pradeep Kumar Kumawat, Upasarpanch Badri Prasad Sahu and many villagers also reached the hospital. After which those people started creating a ruckus, after which the police came and took over the case.
