Karauli: A newly married woman died under mysterious circumstances in Karauli, Rajasthan. The girl's family alleges that their daughter has been killed for dowry. The girl's family has lodged a case of dowry and murder against the in-laws. The case is from Balghat police station area.
According to the complaint of the deceased's brother, his 19-year-old sister was married to Rishikesh, a resident of Pahari, on February 18. They gave dowry according to their ability. But since the marriage, the in-laws were demanding Rs 5 lakh and a motorcycle. They used to beat his sister over dowry every day. The criminals have beaten his sister Vinita to death for not fulfilling the demand for dowry.
DSP Phoolchand Meena said, "Rishikesh Meena's wife Vinita has died under suspicious circumstances. The police have handed over the body to the family members after conducting a post-mortem at the Community Health Center in Balghat.'' In connection with the incident, Shivraj Meena, brother of the deceased, a resident of Sakra, has filed a case of murder for dowry against Vinita's husband Rishikesh, father-in-law, and brother-in-law. The police have registered a case and started an investigation.
