Khargone: In Khargone, Madhya Pradesh, a woman candidate for the post of sarpanch lost her life on Saturday. The woman went to bathe in the river as usual. Because of this, the accident happened. The sailors who reached the spot pulled the woman out but by then she had lost her life. The woman was brought to the government hospital in Sanawad. Where after the post-mortem the body was handed over to the family members. Here, after the death of the woman, the election for the post of Sarpanch has also been cancelled. 

30-year-old Pinky Kewat, a resident of Toksar Gram Panchayat of Khargone, was also the candidate for Sarpanch from Toksar village. The woman's husband Ashok said that as usual at around 5 am on Saturday, Pinky had gone to the Narmada river to take a bath. She could not swim. She started drowning. When the people around saw her, the sailors were called for help. But by the time the sailors reached her for help, she had drowned and died. 

The same female sarpanch candidate was brought to the civil hospital in Sanawad. Here the doctors declared the woman was brought dead. The post-mortem of the dead body has been handed over to the family members. The news of the death of the female candidate for the post of sarpanch also reached the returning officer.
