Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani and Anupam Kher are all set for his upcoming film Uunchai. They are leaving no stones unturned in promoting the film. Apart from them the movie also stars Sarika, Neena Gupta and Parineeti Chopra. The film  is  a combination of friendship and adventure. The film is about the four friends who are in their twilight years, the Sooraj Barjatya-directorial follows these characters on a trek to Mt Everest that turns out to be a personal, emotional and spiritual journey as they battle their physical limitations and discover the true meaning of freedom.

Sooraj Barjataya is one of the most renowned filmmakers in the bollywood industry who has given various blockbuster family drama films but people often tagged his film as ‘Sanskari’ as they are based on Indian culture. Anupam Kher and Boman Irani lash out at such people. Anupam said, “Rajshri Productions is a treasure, they have made 60 films in 75 years. They have always made a film that they believed in, which is about the culture they believe in and practice. So much so, at a certain point, I think some uncool people decided to slot them as sanskari (traditional) because they could not deal with it.”

Boman Irani further added, “They are not capable of understanding that.” “Because they like to slot people. Are Sooraj Barjatya ki pair ki juti k barabar nahin ho tum (you are not even as good as his shoe),” 

Speaking about the film, Uunchai stars Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Parineeti Chopra, Neena Gupta and Sarika in pivotal roles. It has been directed by Sooraj Barjatya under Rajshri Productions. The filmmaker, who is known for directing films such as Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo, Hum Saath Saath Hain etc, has returned to the director’s chair after seven years with this film.
