Karachi: Pakistan's state-run aircraft carrier Pakistan International Airlines is in a bad state. The problem is so severe that airlines have fired a thousand people. Airlines are going to take several steps to reduce operating expenses. This has been confirmed by Air Marshal Arshad Malik, Chairman and Chief Executive of Airlines. This information has been revealed through media reports. Arshad Malik announced this after meeting with the Prime Minister's Finance Advisor Dr. Abdul Hafeez Sheikh.

Malik suggested Sheikh other measures to reduce operating costs and better management. Apart from this, many information was also shared to increase revenue through effective use of financial and human resources. Sheikh asked the PIA to pursue an independent, sustainable business plan, and also said that the government is fully with the PIA management.

Air Marshal Arshad Malik said that the PIA management has laid off around 1,000 'redundant employees' to reduce costs. A report said that PM Imran Khan attended a meeting of the aviation department in Islamabad on Tuesday in which the business plan, requirements and other issues of PIA were discussed. Pakistan had closed its airspace in the past. Due to which he was severely damaged.
