Pak Army Chief emphasises importance of coordinating efforts to help Afghans

ISLAMABAD : According to an Army release, Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, has called for coordinated efforts to help the Afghan people.

According to sources, Bajwa stressed the importance of global consensus on Afghanistan in a meeting with Major General Sheikh Abdul Aziz Bin Saud Al Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Bahrain National Guard, in Rawalpindi, Pakistan's east Punjab province. The military's propaganda wing, Inter-Services Public Relations, said in a statement that topics of mutual interest, the present security situation in Afghanistan, and bilateral cooperation in many fields were covered during the meeting.

Pakistan's Army Chief stated that his country wants to keep the bilateral engagement tradition alive and wishes for a long-term, multi-domain cooperation with Bahrain.
