Pak FM Bilawal Bhutto's reaching India for SEO Meet

GOA: Pakistan’s foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that he expects for constructive meeting with Foreign Ministers from friendly countries as the minister has left for India to attend the Shanghai  Cooperation Organisation (SCO) meet. The SCO meeting is scheduled to take place in Goa on May 4 and 5.

Bhutto Zardari, who would be the first foreign minister to visit India since 2011, is leading the Pakistan delegation to the Council of Foreign Ministers  of the Beijing-based SCO.

The Indian Minister for External Affairs, Dr. S. Jaishankar, who is the current SCO chair, extended the invitation to the Pakistan Foreign Minister to attend the SCO-CFM, according to the Foreign Office (FO). Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, the spokesman for FO, said that Bilawal had departed for Goa from Karachi.

"Foreign Ministers BhuttoZardari departs from Karachi to participate in the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers," the spokesperson tweeted with a picture of his departure.

"I'm en route to Goa, India. Will be leading the Pakistan delegation at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization CFM. My decision to attend this summit reflects Pakistan’s strong commitment to the charter of the SCO," Bhutto Zardari tweeted before his departure.
