ISLAMABAD: Pakistan is set to remain on the grey list of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), an agency set up to curb and monitor terror funding at the international level. The FATF's decision for a fortnight-long meeting in Paris was announced late on Friday night, which said that Pakistan has been placed on the grey list. To get out of this list, Pakistan will have to conduct a decisive inquiry against the leaders of UN-designated terror outfits such as Hafiz Saeed, Maulana Masood Azhar.

Pakistan on FATF's list for a long time: Pakistan has now joined the longest-serving countries on the FATF's watch list. However, the task force has admitted that it has been asked to take 27 steps on its behalf that it has investigated 26 of them. However, it is also clear that unless the Pakistan government takes steps against the terror leaders, it is difficult for it to come out of this watch list.

Pakistan also accused of taking pretentious action: According to the information received so far,  it has been seen earlier that the way the Pak government sometimes takes a pretentious action on Hafiz Saeed or Masood Azhar will not be able to work. Many times it has been seen that Before the FATF meeting, Pak takes some steps, but in the latter provides relief to them. Hafiz Saeed and Masood Azhar are also often jailed but their organisations are allowed to function under other names.
