Imran Khan's big statement, says, 'Pakistan will start Islamic channel with Turkey, Malaysia'

Washington: Pakistan PM Imran Khan has announced the launch of an Islamic TV channel. Imran Khan has said that Pakistan, Turkey and Malaysia have decided to start English-speaking Islamic television channels together to remove misconceptions about Islam and to meet the challenges. PM Imran, who came to New York to attend the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly, said that the channel will be broadcasting programs and films related to Muslims to make the world aware of Islamic history.

Imran Khan said in a tweet that, "President Erdogan, PM Mahatir and myself had a meeting today in which we decided our 3 countries would jointly start an English language channel dedicated to confronting the challenges posed by Islamophobia and setting the record straight on our great religion - Islam."

Speaking on the purpose of the channel, Pak PM Imran Khan said that "series and films will be produced on Muslim history to educate, educate our people". According to media reports, PM Imran Khan appeared in the round table discussion on the subject of retaliation of hate speeches in co-hosting Pakistan, Turkey.
