The Athletics Federation of India (AFI), who had been there a while back, has praised the Pakistani athlete by tweeting. In praise of the Pakistani athlete Arshad Nadeem, who won gold in the javelin throw of the ongoing South Asian Games in Nepal.
According to sources from Emily, AFI shared an old picture of him with Neeraj Chopra and wrote- Congratulations to Arshad Nadeem, who won gold by throwing a spear of 86.48 meters in the South Asian Games, after decades a Pakistani athlete went straight to the Olympics.
Talking about sources, then it has been learned that this picture of Neeraj and Nadeem is from the 2018 Jarkata Asian Games. In these games, Neeraj won the gold, Kijen Liu of China won the silver and Pakistani athlete Nadeem won the bronze medal. After AFI's tweet, people of both countries are praising AFI for this. One person wrote that sports have the power to eradicate hatred and enmity between the two countries. Another person wrote to the Athletics Federation of India, thanking him- "This is how India-Pakistan competition should be accompanied by respect for each other."
