Today the general elections are going on in Pakistan, for which voting is going on from the morning. According to Pakistani time, voting will be held from 8 AM to 6 PM. About 100 political parties are in the electoral college for 272 seats in the general elections and the main fight is between the party of Nawaz Sharif, Imran Khan and Bilawal Bhutto.

These are the updates:

  • A total of 3549 candidates are contesting on 272 seats, the other 60 seats are reserved for women, while 10 per cent seats are reserved for other religious minorities including Hindus.
  • Imran Khan's vote can be cancelled. They are accused of recording video during voting, which the Pakistan Election Commission has taken seriously.
  • Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf's leader Imran Khan voted in Islamabad He said here that Nawaz Sharif has helped India to weaken Pakistan's army. So now India is concerned that if Imran Khan becomes PM then he will only think about Pakistan.
  • A separate polling station has been earmarked for Ahadiya voters in Osmanabad.
  • So far, 25 people have died in the quetta blast, while about 30 people are reported to be injured. This blast happened around 11 am in the morning under the National Assembly 260.
  • Hafiz Saeed, his successor in Lahore, cast his vote.
  • Imran Khan's party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Nawaz Sharif's party PML (N) activists have clashed. The workers of both the parties are clashing in Rajanpur of Punjab.
  • In Karachi, the police detained the unknown person going inside the polling booth.

Shahbaz Sharif, the brother of Pakistan Muslim Lean (N) and Nawaz Sharif's brother in Lahore, voted.
At this time, while former prime minister Nawaz Sharif is in jail in connection with corruption, his daughter and son-in-law are locked up in jail, main Pakistan's Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), the leader of the main fight, Sharif, and the leader of Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek -A-Insaf (PTI) and the Pakistan People's Party (PPP), along with many smaller parties are also trying their luck in the elections.

According to Imran's opponents, his party has the support of the army and intelligence organization 'Inter-Services Intelligence' (ISI), due to which it is said that he has a slight edge against his opponents. Khan claims that he will make the 'new Pakistan' by defeating the traditional political parties of the country so far.

Imran Khan, who took an aggressive stance on his rallies, said in large rallies on Monday night that the claim to develop Sharif is only in "advertising." He appealed to people to change the fate of Pakistan. PML-N president and Sharif's younger brother Shahbaz Sharif insisted on Monday that his party would win.

According to an Election Commission official, 5,878 in Sindh, 5,487 in Punjab and Islamabad, 3,874 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Federal tribal federation (FATA) and 1,768 polling stations in Balochistan have been declared highly vigilant. Chief Election Commissioner (retired) Sardar Raza Khan has appealed to the public to vote in a special message. They promised free and fair voting.
