Pak government takes strict action Hafiz Saeed, not allowed him to read Eid prayers at Gaddafi Stadium

Islamabad: Mastermind of the Mumbai attacks and Jamaat ud Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed, the government of Pakistan's Punjab province did not allow the Eid prayer at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Wednesday. Due to the government's move, Saeed had to read the prayer at the local mosque near his home Johar town.

The Jamaat chief wanted to lead the Eid prayers at the Saeed Gaddafi Stadium, but the Punjab government. It is noteworthy that the Gaddafi stadium is Hafiz Saeed's favourite place. An official has told the media that if he did, the government could have taken him into custody. He said that Hafiz Saeed had no option but to accept the order of the government. He then gave up the idea of leading the Eid prayers at the Gaddafi Stadium.

Saeed had been praying at his favourite Gaddafi stadium for Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Zuha for the last several years without any unhindered. The Government also provided him with security. Saeed was not only praying here but also making inflammatory statements against India before a large number of those present. Saeed was banned by the United Nations Security Council on December 10 after the Mumbai attack. It killed 166 people in the attack.
