Lahore: Hearing will begin next month in an anti-terrorism court on charges of terror funding against Hafiz Saeed, the mastermind of the recent Mumbai terror attack and the leader of banned terrorist organization Jamaat-ud Dawa.

Saeed is accused of funding terrorism: According to information received from sources, the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Lahore on Saturday heard the charges of financing terrorism against Saeed and his associates. The court fixed December 7 for framing of charges against Hafiz and others in the case. On Saturday, amid tight security, the Jamaat-ud Dawa kingpin was brought to the ATC from Kot Lakhpat Jail.

Charges against Saeed and others will be fixed on December 7: It is also said that after the hearing, a court official said, "ATC Judge Arshad Hussain Bhutta after hearing the arguments of prosecution and defense lawyers and Saeed and December 7 has been fixed for framing of charges against others.

Request for daily hearing: Let us tell you that the official said that the public prosecutor Abdur Rauf Bhatti requested the court to hear the case daily for speedy settlement. Saeed's lawyer opposed this. The officer said, "The judge said that he has to complete the hearing on proofs and qualifications."

Journalists were not allowed to enter the court room: Due to the security arrangements made by the police, journalists were not allowed to enter the court room to cover the hearing. 23 FIRs lodged in terrorist funding charges The Punjab Police's Anti-Terrorism Department (CTD) had registered 23 FIRs against Saeed and his associates in various cities of Punjab province on terror funding charges and arrested Hafiz Saeed on July 17.
