Pakistan: WHO has released a shocking report on Female Genital Mutilation FGM. There is a deep concern about the circumcision of genitals in this report. According to the report, this poses a serious threat to women's health. Where there is a burden of 14 billion dollars worldwide to avoid its ill effects. The report says that every year more than 200 million women and girls have to face this. At the same time it is usually done between birth and 15 years and it has a profound effect on their health, which includes infection, bleeding or shock. This can lead to such incurable disease, which has to bear the burden throughout life.

Terrible abuse of human rights: According to the data so far, it has been found that many countries spend about 10 percent of their total health expenditure on treatment of female genital mutilation every year. In some Central Asia or African countries, this figure is up to 30 percent. Ian Askue, director of the World Health Organization's Department of Sexual, Reproductive Health and Research, said that FGM is not only a terrible human rights abuse, but it is causing significant harm to the physical and mental health of millions of girls and women. Due to this, precious economic resources of the countries are also being destroyed.

Egypt banned FGM in 2008: It is also said that Egypt banned FGM in 2008, but it is still prevalent there and in Sudan. Where the United Nations Children's Fund has said that about one-fourth of the victims or about 5.2 crore women and girls do not get health care. In Egypt, the death of a 12-year-old girl last month exposed the dangers of FGM once again. The organization said that more efforts are needed to stop it and end its suffering.
