New Delhi: The first Test between India and New Zealand is being played in Kanpur. In the absence of Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane won the toss and elected to bat first. A video of the encounter is going viral in which viewers are heard shouting 'Pakistan Murdabad'.

This is the story of the sixth over of the Indian innings. Mayank Agarwal and Shubman Gill were at the crease at that time. Meanwhile, slogans of 'Pakistan Murdabad' were heard in the stands. Fans also raised slogans of 'Vande Mataram' and 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' to support the Indian openers. Indo-Pak does not play a bilateral series yet due to the souring of political and diplomatic relations. It is only in ICC events that the two countries clash. The last bilateral series between the two countries was played in 2012-13.

Pakistan then toured India for three ODIs and two T20Is. In the ODI series, Pak won the series 2-1, while the T20 series was tied at 1-1. On the other hand, the two teams recently clashed in their first match of the T20 World Cup 2021. Pakistan beat India by 10 wickets in that match. This was the first time in the history of the World Cup that India lost to Pakistan. Earlier, a total of 12 matches were played in the 50-and-20-over World Cup, with Team India hoisting the winning streak in all.
