Due to "faults" in the system, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan conceded on Thursday that he has failed to deliver the promised "changes" to the country that he promised when he took power.

"At first, we hoped to bring change quickly by revolutionary methods," PM Imran Khan stated, "but we later realised that our system was incapable of absorbing shock." He also admitted that his leadership and ministries had failed to provide the people with the desired results.

"The most serious issue is that there has been no connection between the government and the national interest," he admitted. "Are our ministries working on ways to stabilise the country by growing exports and improving people's conditions, such as eradicating poverty?" he inquired.

Khan stated that his government's primary concerns are expanding exports, finding import substitutes, and reducing poverty. He emphasised the need of establishing a reward and punishment system, and stated that the National Accountability Bureau's powers had been changed to allow bureaucrats to take initiative, emphasising that bureaucrats now had no excuse for not "signing outstanding files."

He emphasised the need of effective policymaking and good governance and urged the ministries to prioritise the national interest and use "out-of-the-box ideas" to accomplish one‘s promises.
