Islamabad: Attacks on Hindu temples in Pakistan continue to rise. Even after all the claims and assurances of PM Imran Khan, the fundamentalists are attacking the temples. It is reported that Islamic fundamentalists on Sunday (January 23, 2022) vandalised the Hinglaj Mata temple in Khatri mohalla of Thar Parkar District in Sindh province. The attackers destroyed every belonging, including the idols kept in the temple. This is the 11th attack on Hindu temples in Pakistan in the last 22 months.

Talking to reporters after the attack on the Hinglaj Mata temple, Pakistan Hindu temple management chairman Krishen Sharma said, Muslim fundamentalists, are not afraid of the top court of Pakistan and even the Government of Pakistan. Meanwhile, Hindus took out a march to protest against the attack on the temple and demanded that the culprits be arrested at the earliest. It may be recalled that Muslim fundamentalists of Pakistan continue to attack the religious places of minorities day by day. This is when the Imran government claimed that the safety of minorities would be ensured.

In December last year, fanatics attacked a Hindu temple in Karachi city of Pakistan and broke the statue of Mother Durga. The fundamentalists had targeted the Nariyan Pura Hindu temple in Karachi. The attackers had destroyed the entire temple. A large number of Hindus live in Karachi. The Imran government was also criticised over the attack.
